t is reported that the comprehensive policy announced this time involves product manufacturing and production, circulation and consumption, separation and emission, recycling and screening, reuse and other stages. The south Korean government will first reduce excessive packaging and aim to reduce the use of disposable plastic cups and bags by 35 percent by 2022. Environment ministry sources in South Korea say they expect large shopping malls and supermarkets to stop offering disposable plastic bags from October.The south Korean government also plans to develop guidelines for the separation and emission of plastics, which will strengthen local government regulation in the recycling and screening stages. By 2022, South Korea will also spend 50 billion won (296 million yuan) on recycling plastic to avoid environmental pollution from disposable plastic waste.
