Survival Or Death Foreign Plastic Import Enterprises How To Face The Ban?

Zhangjiagang Sansu Machine Co.,Ltd | Updated: Apr 03, 2018

Since January 1, 2018, China formally banned the import of plastic waste, since a lot of people are paying attention to China's ban on the influence of the western countries, the media have focused on the United States and Britain and other countries a mountain of garbage recycling factory, but few people focus on the domestic plastic import enterprises, these enterprises now living conditions is worth thinking about.

In July 2017, China formally notified the wto to strengthen environmental protection, and China will officially ban the import of waste plastics on January 1, 2018.

Once the news was sent, people applauded the government's decision.

But the ban would be a clear blow to plastic waste importers.

Before June 2017, there are more than 1,000 merchants engaged in waste plastics in the seven pit industrial park and the mailin industrial park in xingtan town, guangdong province.

The waste plastics from these merchants come from all over the world, and the waste plastics from Japan, the United States, Britain and other countries can be seen here.

After the ban, there were only a handful of businesses here, and many merchants' plastic imports were banned.

By the beginning of 2018, all the imported plastic businesses in the two industrial parks were shut down, and the factory was empty, and there was a lot of "leasing".

Not only XingLin Town, zhaogezhuang town in hebei wenan, j liu Alfred chuang town in shandong province, in taizhou, zhejiang province, with the local businesses and family workshops, or affected by the ban, or by the environmental protection department, has been shut down or put on from his inheritance.

The ban has been enforced for three months, and what about the survival of the companies involved?

How do companies do that?

For small families or small businesses with a single source of raw materials, they are almost dead.

Because these small businesses and workshops are single, and the domestic plastic recycling system is not perfect, they have no capacity to open up new sources of goods, and the ban has to be shut down.

And those companies with strong strength have the following ways.

Fully exploit the recycling system of domestic plastic waste.

Although China's plastic recycling system is not perfect, the company has worked with some recyclers in the suzhou area to deepen the local plastic recycling system, according to a company in suzhou.

The company's main source of plastic has turned inward.

Even if it is forbidden to import waste plastics from abroad, the impact on the company will be minimal, and the domestic market's source of plastic waste is fully capable of meeting the company's raw material needs.

Transfer production to southeast Asia or other areas.

China's ban will inevitably lead to waste plastics flowing to other countries, and southeast Asia is an important destination.

Many manufacturers have chosen to relocate their factories to southeast Asia.

There are still signs of employment in the industrial park in xingtan, guangdong province, but the factory has moved to a new location, Vietnam.

Southeast Asian countries will not sit idly by as they face plastic waste.

The plastic waste is processed deeply in the source of import and then entered into China after the domestic standard.

China's ban on plastic waste is mainly due to the serious environmental pollution caused by plastic waste.

It will not pollute the domestic environment and avoid the relocation of the factory after further processing of plastic waste abroad.

This approach is a good choice for strong companies.
